What was once a 9...

...is now a 10! image

image

I had this card reviewed by PSA last week. I finally got the bump from 9 to 10. Flawless card and couldn't understand the 9.

This is the 2nd time I had a bump. I got a Jeter 93 SP that went from an 8.5 to a 9 a few months ago.

Along the same lines of the Nolan Ryan RC 1/1...reviews do pay off!

  • Awesome! Nice job. I've got a couple I'd like to try that with, but have always chickened out when it comes time to send 'em off.

A few days? At what service level?

Super Express is $65 and Express is $35. I think it depends on the value of the card as to what you pay. That doesn't include shipping time.

<< <i>T/B centering is a little off ... 44/56 ... so that combined with some surface issue might be why it got a 9 originally. How's the back look? >>

Although I wasn't looking for possible reasons as to why this graded a 9 originally, I appreciate the unsolicited critique of the card. (well, not really)

I really wanted to share with board members that reviews are sometimes very worth the time and money. There are a few cards I've tried a few times and will probably try again!

Congrats, my friend. One of the great thrills in the hobby is seeing your eye rewarded with a bump. And 9 to 10 on one of your favorite players is just gravy. Props.

Big deal ... so you turned a $200.00 card into a THOUSAND DOLLAR CARD! LOL

Congrats on that HUGE jump! Enjoy the card ... or the money you get from it!

I know this card was on your wish list in PSA 10, so it's awesome that you were able to do it from your existing collection. Awesome card of my favorite player. Congrats!

Man, Gwynn was in good shape back then. Easy to forget...
  • Congrats. A gift 10 due to the top to bottom centering but congrats nonetheless.

Regarding centering, it seems that the card was positioned high in the holder during the scan. The upper "inner ridge" is likely obscuring a sliver of the top border.

Not that it really matters one way or another since haters will always be hating, but yes that's exactly what happened. The centering on this card is near perfect. Thanks Matt
