Silver type set? Does anyone do this?

I'm thinking about a "base" stack then a type set to make it fun. Anyone else do this?

My pile is a hodgepodge and I like it. A good batch of world silver bullion across the board, lots of 90%. Somebody here always does the world bullion every year, sells them all at least.

To add: I'm constantly updating my gold 'continental' set. Got everything but Antarctica in one form or another for the pirate travels chest. Bullion type though had me thinking of silver variations on ASEs and such for this question, and that's a novelty to me as I'd rather have a roll of every type of US half dollar instead for the pile.

I have a collection of 1oz silver coins from different countries; all of which (including the Britannia) were purchased at bullion prices (every so often you can find a coin dealer for whom an ounce of bullion is just an ounce of bullion). My goal was to have just one coin from each country, but I recently bought an Australian Koala to go with the Kookaburra.

Not an area of interest for me, however, I am sure it could be fun and certainly would make a nice display.... as would the world sets. Cheers, RickO

I enjoy owning a variety of brands, styles, weights, etc as long as it's a recognized brand and the premium over melt is reasonable.

I'm partial to dansco albums of silver coins - ASEs - even bars. Also getting to like some poured bar sets.
Packaged sheets of bars or coins are pretty kewl too. Will get more sophisticated as I go, such as pristine
sets of ASEs, Maples, or Englehard coins.

then it becomes less a "stack" and more a "collection"

more difficult to part with because one becomes emotionally attached to the items

Not yet. What I have varies all over the board in terms of quality. Next I see Todd at a major coin show I will get uniform pictures of my 5 oz bars.
