On my Facebook feed Sports Collectors Daily featured a 1970 Topps Pete Rose PSA 10. I clicked on the link and there are a ton of other high grade cards being offered. WOW what a bunch of great looking cards.
Personally, I'm happy for the guy. He was a workhorse his whole career to be the best in his field. He should be entitled to a comfortable retirement... shouldn't everyone? Broke the rules? Yes. He has paid the equivalence of a life sentence. Give him his due!!
I grew up on the big red machine. I go back and forth on what should happen. Today I think he should be in the hall of fame. But not able to control or manage a team in any way. I am glad he is able to make a living. Going to vegas Thursday so might try and look him up. Going to see Elton john, Diana Ross, and renew marriage vows after 25 years. So why not add Pete rose to the mix.

I saw him in Vegas several years ago when he was signing at Caesars Palace. He was my favorite player growing up, so I had to stop and buy a ball to have him sign it. What was amazing to me is that the guy sat there and just chatted with me for about 10 minutes. He was a total class act, and the interaction with him reinforced the way I looked at him as a kid.
I had heard certain negative stories about Pete Rose and didn't know what to expect when my wife and I went to see him in Vegas (I had picked up something I wanted him to look at). We were the last customers before his vacation, but he spent a good 15 minutes chatting with us. I am a much bigger Pete Rose fan because of that experience.
You better believe he belongs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Baseball between the lines---Pete Rose is so very deserving. He's been drug through, and drug himself through, an awful lot of hog manure at this point in his life. From '65 - '80 he was the Ty Cobb of the National League. He was a compulsive gambler, like Rogers Hornsby and Paul Hornung. The NFL dealt with Hornung, and their Hall of Fame finally elected him, or selected him, or whatever they do. But baseball seems to like to always run their lives, and others, by walking in Yazoo clay. When will they make their decision on the steroid era, who really holds the single season major league home run record.......? It gets irritating, nauseating, and I finally moved on to other sports and interests. ---Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)
Got to meet Pete out in Vegas a couple years ago. And as others said, a very gracious guy. Spoke with me for about 5 minutes or so, talking about the Red Sox (this was 2013). Pete was my favorite player growing up and it was a real thrill to meet him. I had him sign a 1974 Topps card (my favorite Rose card) and at some point sent it in to PSA on a special, ostensibly to get it encapsulated, but the special was also for an auto grading. It came back a 10. So I got that going for me.
He has done his time. Place a comment on his banishment on his plaque, but let the man back in the game.

I just started getting into signed Donnie memorabilia but may be interested in buying a Rose signed ball.
