<< <i>I could really use that Ripken in my collection....hint hint >>
if referring to the ripken i posted above, all yours, if you don't mind a top loader in a pwe with a stamp on an envelope. I'm not building the set so if any others of interest to anyone, let me know, may not have 'em left though. . A few of 'em are already gone and I'm keeping the autos/ruth/griffey's/trout/and a few other modern stars. >>
man, you just scored on the red sox. got a bunch including a mini tall fred lynn. yeah, no problem. not going to build this set (I keep telling myself) so yeah, all 10 red sox cards that are left are yours. will do the pwe in two top loaders and a stamp. excuse if it gets to you with 20 cents or whatever due, it might make it though. Ted Williams is in this.

Congrats on the Machado. That should be a good one.
I bought so many from Wal Mart, I think I have the base, but I still need to grab a few hobby because it seemed like the autos were few and far between.
I bought 5 loose packs at a hobby shop in order to get the Day Glo parallels (a quarter for a 5 card pack with 1 Day Glo, and you could buy 1 for each Archives pack you purchased, limit 5).
The Day Glo parallels of the 1990s are odd, because they make the background, not the border, orange. Expect a lot of them to end up in commons boxes by mistake in a few months.
Hit 6 inserts in the 5 packs - 2 4-in-1 stickers, a SP (Samuel), an '83 All-Star, a Gold #/199 (AJ Burnett), and a redemption card . . .
Awesome, Nick, huge score. Can't wait to see what it looks like. I'm looking for a 1971 GM Box Topper auto. of Schmidt myself-
Cheers
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
<< <i>Any gold /199s coming out of those blaster boxes? >>
I got one, from either a jumbo pack or blaster box. I am surprised how few and far between they were for me. I have several of the football, (un-numbered).
Free for the taking - a couple stacks of 2013 Topps archives. Am not going to build this set, and hate to hold on to cards I'll do nothing with. if no one wants these they will experience the same fate as the 1993-94 Topps basketball box of cards did below. (will fit as many archives as possible in to a small usps priority box and send over for who wants them - please reply here so others know they are taken , and also pm an address)
It's quite unfortunate but.... don't they look so relaxed just floatin' there ?
I've been working on the gold /199 set and I'm down to less than 30. One last call to anyone here who might have any of these available:
7 Jon Jay 16 Cal Ripken 22 Alex Rios 30 Yu Darvish 33 Corey Hart 42 Mariano Rivera 53 Brandon Phillips 61 Shelby Miller 69 Eddie Mathews 71 Darwin Barney 73 Aroldis Chapman 77 Tony Cingrani 88 Derek Holland 91 Brandon Beachy 98 Jesus Montero 111 Brandon Morrow 113 Jake Peavy 137 Brian McCann 140 Dylan Bundy 142 Willie Stargell 146 Eddie Murray 152 Craig Kimbrel 153 David Ortiz 157 Evan Longoria 171 Jay Bruce 173 Jason Kipnis 177 Starlin Castro 189 Homer Bailey 190 Tony Gwynn
There was talk about Topps jumping the shark on the minis sold on line. Check out the 2014 Topps Archives:
2014 Topps Archives Baseball is another nostalgia fix that borrows from designs of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Taking it a step further are cards from a pair of Hollywood hits celebrating significant anniversaries in 2014. Although the look may be different, the overall structure remains the same from the past couple of years. Hobby boxes once again promise two on-card autographs.
The 2014 Topps Archives Baseball set consists of 250 cards. There's a 200-card base set that uses the 1973, 1980, 1986 and 1989 Topps Baseball designs. The final 50 cards are short prints. Besides Printing Plates, there are two numbered parallel sets, Gold (#/199) and Silver (#/99).
Those were the best years they could come up with?? Maybe it's just me, but it looks like I get to save some money next year.

I can use the Pirates, especially the Stargell if you still have it. My tradelist is at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtFHoQGzsHwOdEFycGwyOVZnT2pPLVRUeWI0WW00ZVE#gid=0. PWE trades are fine with me. >>
got 4 pirates for you. stargell alvarez burnett and mccutchen. if you can pm me an address will send them out - (together in a top loader)
Just a couple of base card scans from the few blasters I opened... a few of my "Fan Favorites"......
Is retail just 8-pack blaster and jumbo packs?
Inserts in retail are pretty basic, I haven't opened anything crazy.
The stained glass cards are amazing. I want them all
Here are my highlights
Or should I say 7 Packs plus 1 extra pack.
$2.50 per pack ( or $2.85 and one for free).
Looks like a hobby pack is currently going for $3.33 per pack.
The 1972 Topps BK Insert is 1:24, and I think is the one that is rotated in with other harder to find inserts (Gold, Gallery, Auto, etc.)
Need to get a couple of Hobby boxes...
Also, I'm not sure but I think the Duel Fan Favorite may be the Retail Exclusive.
No purchase necessary....
For a chance to obtain any insert listed, at the same odds...
send Topps a 3 x5 card...
Open only to US / Canadian residents.....
(except Quebec) ???
Is that Providence still bitter about losing the Expos?
And of course Canadian residents still have to take a math test so it's not a game of chance.
Wonder how many Topps gives away with this promotion?
I used to send in to Topps all the time as a kid (for uncut checklists etc.) Times have changed.
I got 3 of them so far
Apparently it's some Super SP.
A winner is me!
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.

<< <i>woo hoo just pulled a Darvish All Star card!! >>
I got a rock....
Charlie Brown
Expected 1987-88 cards but got a 1965 Dick Radatz, 1967 forogt the name, and a 1970 Dave McNally
not too bad
Were they seeded one per hobby box and redeemed only at participating local dealers?
Anything worth scanning?
Send $5.00 and SASE to learn how....
Hope they weren't buybacks...no foil stamp,

Not a big fan of the Stadium club insert.
Is anyone collecting the /199 set ? Feel free to pick one and will send it over.

I have bought quite a few blasters, and I have not pulled anything great.
Some good cards to complete subsets, a couple autos and relics, but hobby may be better from my personal experience with retail.

Current obsession, all things Topps 1969 - 1972
Any suggestions on storing the 1965 minis?
Do they make holders or pages that size?
