WE HAVE POPPAGE - ANYONE INTERESTED IN PIGGYBACKING ON A $10 BLUE FLIP SUBMISSION?

Summer time is my down time in-between tax season and school (I am an instructor for a local university as one of my part time jobs). I'd like to put together another group submission for a $10 authentication/encapsulation in a blue flip for a declared value under $250 before school starts.

To cover shipping/insurance/etc you will be responsible for $11 per item that you submit. You will also be responsible for shipping your item to me, then exact return shipping once we get the submission back.

Here is a link to the latest submission I did (as well as links to previous ones in the past as well) for reference.

Links to Previous Submissions

We were approved at a $10 rate as long as we get 250 items. This is for cards, cuts, index cards etc as long as they fit in the tall boy holders. 3x5 index cards will qualify, anything bigger will not qualify for the submission. I was told by Sonia's replacement that they will honor the special pricing as A ONETIME COURTESY. That means this may be the last $10 submission we are able to do.

I'll keep an updated tab on this OP, and we'll see how many items we can come up with. Last submission we had 542 items & we'll see if we can top that or not image. I'll keep the tab open until June 30th for anyone interested in joining. June 30th I'll send out instructions to anyone who signed up, and the deadline to get me your items will be July 12th. I plan on sending the package to PSA via registered mail on July 15th.

Please post in this thread if you'd like to take part in the submission so it's easier for me to track. I don't need definitive numbers of items until you send me your package, but a rough estimate when you know would be nice to make sure we have enough items to qualify.

Is this for auto authentication only, or will they also grade the card itself?

Nope. Blue is only for the auto. What you might be looking for is the Red Flip which they do for both the auto and the card grade.

Drat, got George Foster to auto mine at a Reds spring training game this year that I would love to have encapsulated. I've probably got 8-10 cards to submit anyway. I'll pull together some auto's and get an exact count.

OK I think I've got everything up to date....if I missed someone lmk.

I'm giving a longer sign up this time because if it is the last one at $10 we can get I'm assuming some people will need a bit extra time to get things together.

Awesome! I'll be in for at least 10-20.

Good news that we get at least this last one. Maybe if we make it a big sub, the newbie will see the value in letting us do it a few times a year.

Thanks again for putting this together. Down time or not, it's a ton of work that I can't imagine being organized or patient enough to do. Maybe that's why you do taxes. image

Well even if it is the last one at $10 (and I'm hoping we can get a HUGE one that'll help change their mind next time), if we could do $12 or so that'd still be a great price. I'll see what happens early next year.....

If you let me, I have a Ricky Williams signature on a business card that was personalized for my 11 year old son. I would love to get that slabbed and give it to him. If onesies is too much of a pain in the ass, maybe one of the other members with larger numbers will let me send it to him/her.

Will PSA be willing to make the group sub eligible for the blue flip with "Auto Grade Only" and a numerical grade assigned to the auto, or are they only offering the "Authentic" blue flip out of the two types issued?

(Yes, I realize this is not the same as the red flip with the numerical grade for the card's condition grade, not auto grade, and auto certified)
