    Very cool antique electrolysis machine. I'd imagine the owner got a bit of use out of it. Not necessarily used for coin cleaning though

    I was working in the lab with my electrolysis coin cleaner late one night.

    Thank you for correctly using "Dr. Frankenstein", rather than the monster being named Frankenstein. Always irks me...

    Let's hope that no one uses it. A good coin ruiner is a more appropriate name for it. It may be OK for same old ancient Roman coins but not for anything minted after 476 AD.

    NCS uses a reverse electrolysis type process to rehabilitate ship wreck coins. So why not?

    unless the coin is really caked with dirt I really can't see any use other then coin doctoring with this item
