This thread would probably work better as a poll.

My answer: I am an ANA life member, but I did not vote.

    +1 ,,,
Every election I vote for the losers. This time I didn't vote for the winners.
  • I did vote. I do know some of the potential BOD members and I gave them my confidence that they can do a better job than the previous BOD.

Believe it or not, I think if the ANA provided pre paid postage envelopes, they would get a little better response . Some people even though very financially sound, are cheap!! Two friends of mine who have "plenty" did not send in a ballot because of this.

I voted. Hopefully the membership will vote in a slate of Directors that will get the organization past all the recent woes about executive directors and move in the direction necessary to remain viable.

They sound like they would have been perfect candidates for the electronic voting option offered this year.

    Taylor,

Please understand that my posts are most often meant "tongue in cheek". I was kidding about "guess the winners" poll. I have the ballot, just haven't selected. The ballot showed up in the mail last week and it's been very busy with the storms, taxes, death in the family, new babies, and other business. I was hoping the candidates would wine and dine me for my vote, but it's not happening. image

Believe it or not, I think if the ANA provided pre paid postage envelopes, they would get a little better response .

Seems to me that if someone is going to skip voting over 45 cents, their vote is of little value to the ANA beyond making the participation numbers look better. And on further reflection, those votes are probably counterproductive , because they're likely to be uneducated and exceptionally biased towards name recognition.
