More disturbing than an obvious fake, is the individuals bidding. Who are these people? Where do they come from? I just can't grasp how anyone can bid on this blatant fake. I don't even collect Lincolns, and the instant I saw the bust of Lincoln I knew. Reported!

Well at least ol' Abe is happy about it.
I've never seen him smile quite like that before.
Maybe it's the fancy new hair cut he's sporting.

5 different bidders think this is a legitimate coin and a great chance to own the most popular DDO cent on Earth. I just get so FN irritated with the magnitude of all this faking, it's a runaway train. I'm gonna have a Lewis Black moment.

Is anyone going to bid high amounts to effectively end the auction?

did anyone tell him it is fake? did anyone report it to eBay?

I did, but it usually takes a barrage of emails to get action.

Yes this very bad boy has been around for a while and has a spot in my photo collection of counterfeits. I grabbed this off ebay a couple of years, and these things are still making the rounds. Sadly it looks like someone bought this one. image

    Hello XXXX,

Thanks for reporting this listing to us.

There has been considerable discussion concerning this comical forgery. I had a good laugh. The seller must have gotten word as he ended the listing.

Again, thank you for your report. We appreciate your help in keeping eBay a safe and reputable forum to conduct business.

    Sincerely,

I emailed him after seeing this thread and told him it's a fake. He hasn't responded, but I guess he took it down (?)

Edited to add: Lincoln looks like he's blazed up.
