Sometimes a Coin Just Catches Your Attention . . .

. . . THIS one did it for me. Maybe not everyone's cup-o-tea but . . .

Placed what I thought was a nuclear snipe of $125 on it . . . Figured with the black terminal toning + not being graded and maybe not gradable that it would go for a lot less . . . DANG now I'm kicking myself for not going higher on a coin that HAS-IT-ALL . . . from black to white to rainbows.

Anyone care to post a coin that just made you say DANG that's Cool ? ! ? !

BTW . . . I see that the site maintenance didn't fix the preview function ! ! ! image
Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

  • Glad you liked my coin
Sad to hear you didn't get it.
Fell in love with this coin at the Vallejo show but didn't have enough coins for the submission.
So I went for the quick flip

BTW coin looks Better in hand
Looking forward to learning more about coins from fellow well respected numismatists

I too fell in love with it . . . One the most interesting coins I've came across in awhile. Wish I had bid higher on it, but put in a snipe days ago & kinda forgot about it.

This Redfield caught my eye long time back and I just had to have it. Looked just as good in hand
from the Bay's picture. When I go to the SDB it's one of the first ones I pull out.

That 1924 Peace dollar is undergraded. Nice coin.

    AuroraBorealis:

That Peace dollar is SWEET! I have an album of 200 toned ones, and if yours was in there, I would pull it first!!

The Redfield one has history to it. I have one as well in PCGS ms-63. Makes me think of it in a bag in the back of Lavere's old pickup truck and getting thrown down the chute to his basement.
