Got my box today, thanks. How did everybody do on the Griffey's? I got shutout, didnt even get a single rookie in the entire box. Not just the key rookies...any.

Agreed. Crazy box. You didn't happen to pull a reverse Murphy did you? Maybe this run is loaded with those.

First pack in first box was a griffey. Off centered but always a good pull. Landed two johnsons and smoltz in the same pack both times. I've opened roughly 9 or 10 packs.
Will post scans when I return from business trip.

I bought two boxes of 1989 Upper Deck in the recent sale and just opened my first box. Here's how the star rookies, which were sequenced in descending order in the packs in the box, panned out...
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21. The box was totally searched. You don't just skip over Griffey and Gary Sheffield when the order is intact for every other pack.
I am not accusing Miklia of doing this, but I am sure someone did take out the stars at some point. This is the first time this has ever happened to me with a message board purchase. Very disappointed. Don't know what to do with the second box. I'm not passing it on knowing it is probably searched but don't want to rip it either.

I can see how the Griffey could be missed based on your sequence, but the Sheffield is odd if the case was recently opened.
I did get a Griffey, Sheffield, two Johnsons and Smoltz in one box. Box 2 remains intact.

fwiw, I'm posting the 2 pics I took while opening the case:
I agree that it really sucks to not get a Griffey from ripping a box, but the accusation of it therefore being searched is a step too far. as you note yourself, your sequence was wonky for having 2 #11s, and as far as I remember they sequence goes downward, so you're talking about 2 different runs in the first place. Open the other box and let me know how you do.
