No, that's a sign of all the cash Mr. Lakesammman threw at the college during his son's stay. image

Lakesammman, congrats! Having just graduated myself, knowing tuitions (which really isn't the 'big' cost, it's those damn 'fees' they add in to make it a $40,000 expense) , meal plans, books, etc, man, you're gonna be LOVING it! You'll be able to make at least a few extra really nice acquisitions per year!
    I'll come up with something.

I know you're a proud papa and should be!

2 of my 3 kids are graduated and employed, thank God. The last one has a couple years more to go in college and I really look forward to the financial respite this will bring.

The hood is made from the bags that hold Regency slabs. That's why it was so expensive.

Congrats to you and your son. Hopefully you will get to go into medical practice together. I live in a town where the son of a radiologist also became a radiologist and they practiced together for a few years. Really neat. Best of luck to both of you.

VERY cool! Just one question: Did you rent YOUR cap and gown or did you purchase it when you graduated? I ask because that's not an item of clothing that one typically wears around the house ... or even out in public image

  • LakesammmanLakesammman Posts: 17,454 ✭✭✭✭✭
Rented it - If I was on faculty somewhere needing one annually, would have bought it. Once every 30 years, rent it. image

Hope to post my graduation present in the near future. image
