So it looks like we need to send in the 2013 "2" coin ASE set

NOT open in the mint box to get the 1st strike again.

I should add that ATS specifically states that the coins should NOT be sent in the original packaging but in the capsules they came in.
This has been PCGS Policy since the First Strike Program began. If you can get them there in the first 30 days after the first release or send them in the sealed box if you may not make it in the first 30 days.

The point is: It does not distinguish the time frame, but indicates that all sets to be graded first strike, must be submitted unopened in the sealed US Mint box. I suspect it's an error in PCGS's instructions.
<< <i>Makes no sense since the coins are unique to the set. I bet there will be a change in that requirement before shipping of the sets starts...

Thats what i thought now if i send in the mint box with 15 set's i will need to pay a extra fee to have my Mint set box's sent back to me. I hope they fix this befor the sets are sent out to us.

No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
All of this means nothing to me as a collector but as a businessman who knows there's a huge market for "First Strike" and "Early Release" slabs it's a no-brainer just send what they ask and you'll get your money back in sales.

<< <i> If the mint packaging is opened, one could argue the coins were swapped. >>
So, can you please tell me what coins they could be swapped out with that would not also be first strike? These coins have not been released elsewhere yet. Who cares if the package was opened? Nobody cares. Only after the first 30 days would matter because then you would have to verify shipping date.
I'm not entirely sure you know what you are talking about or know the process for first strike designation. I can swap coins all day, I could take them out of the capsules and spin them on a table. That has nothing to do with the FS designation. If they make it to Pcgs within 30 days after the first us mint shipment to the public, the FS designation is available, sealed box or not. If any of the coins being sent in have been released previously, then a sealed box is required for a special designation (and FS on that special designation).
Not a big deal to me but to others it's very meaningful. Take for instance the 09 UHR, the standard label and the FS label are separated by thousands of dollars. It's a PCGS product that has caught on, everyone collects differently.

Thank you for saving me from trying to explain that to the person who is confused.... I guess he always sends he burnished W's, proofs, etc. to be graded FS in the sealed Mint shipping boxes without looking at the coins so he doesn't see "the point of this thread"
