I would suggest you stay away from auctions as this. These bids are off the wall for a raw/unauthenticated piece, without actually having seen it in-hand. I agree if the coin were truly MS the bidding would seem appropriate.

Agree, I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole. Just so fascinating to see the levels of volatility within this auction and have it not be a shill.
One of my saved searches is for "1842" as I am doing a type set of coins from 1842 with all varieties (which there are tons) thereby noticing this auction.

Recall the post on eBay refusing to enforce the return policies. That to me is no comfort.
