What ever the grade is, it's very nice!! I'll give a guess AU-58. Although it very well could be MS. I have a couple of these but not my series to collect. CHD

Looks about AU55. Definitely not Mint State.

  • I would say AU-50. It has a dead look to it. image

    55 seems reasonable

    I will guess XF45.

The guesses are all good. You will be surprised, however to see that the
coin is on eBay and is a PCGS MS62 holder.

I admit to being baffled as there seems to be definite wear on the
high points, especially on the eagle's neck and head, but on Liberty
    too.

I need to send all mine in for regrading and try to score a couple big time upgrades.

I would have guessed 55 as well.

I would have said AU all the way with tons of luster, full strike detail and nice eye appeal. I'd still buy it as a 62. I just bought 3 raw last week. Two were AU and one is VF. Those $10 Eagles are hot items. It's the hardest coin to "keep" in the shop for long AND it's difficult to buy them "cheap" because of that. Forget the pirce of gold or tea in China. Buy the coin !

This particular speciment isn't well represented , photographically speaking. image I hope you're okay getting my honest opinions here.

This is a perfect example the difficulty of trying to grade a coin from really crappy pics.

As I would have bet the winning Powerball ticket that this wasn't in a MS slab image

I would have guessed MS60- the details are all there on the eagle's feathers, but from the original picture, you couldn't tell there was much luster there, and that pulled me toward an AU55 or something. At MS62 I still think it's over graded :/
