I answered 4 to 6 times. I don't go to as many Baltimore shows as I used to, but still here my list:

    January FUN
    Baltimore
    EAC Convention
    Summer FUN
    Baltimore ?

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

7+++. Anytime there is a show around (within 250 miles) I go. Interestingly, NO was my first major show though.

Pretty much ever time I go. They're never close by.....CHD

I voted never because I never have been to a coin show. Sad but true. image
However, I am tossing around the idea of going to the Whitman show in Philadelphia late this summer.
That would be about a 175 mile trip.

    none,

but I did fly half way round the world and went to a coin and currency store once.
I went to a Singapore coin and currency store in 1999. It was interesting, but not as much history to their stuff as we have here.

I wish I had gone to the Garden State show, but I am sitting here in the rain.

Once every few years. Wasn't an option in the poll.

I've done it once. So I answered "never" because that was the closest option.

Ditto. I also attended a show 500 miles from home, but I was in the area anyway. There I was warmely welcomed by J. J. Pittman.

On average, once a year. Some years twice, some years not at all.

Usually 8 times a year. Baltimore twice, Parsippany several times and Philadelphia and Pittsburgh once each.

More often than I travel less than 100 miles to a show.

Once in my life. And that that works out to about .014 time per year.

Around 6 times a year-the three Baltimore Shows, FUN, Summer ANA Convention and the EAC Convention. Would like to attend Central States but can never seem to clear my schedule for it.

I'm lucky, don't have to travel as PCGS comes to Vegas with the dealers only show, four times a
    year.

Once or twice per year, but that's going to change, because change is good.
  • ShamikaShamika Posts: 18,785 ✭✭✭✭

I no longer venture to the smaller local shows as I usually spin through them faster then it took me to tie my shoes to leave the house.

i just cant see going over 100 miles for a show. maybe the philly show, fun show or one in california just to say i did it then thats cool
  • unclebobunclebob Posts: 433 ✭✭✭
    I really have no choice.

In the future, with some planning I'm likley to make it to larger shows. Almost the same effort to get to smaller club shows.

    FUN show every year.
    When in doubt, don't.
  • swhuckswhuck Posts: 546 ✭✭✭
Probably once per year on average, perhaps a shade more.

I did a solo 500 mile round trip to Pittsburgh (P.A.N.) one time in one day. Yep, I was punchy at the conclusion of that drive. image
