Picked up a 1986 Fleer basketball set today (pics added)

Today I made an in person purchase of a complete set of 1986 Fleer basketball. Some of the cards are graded, including the Jordan.

I will post pics of the purchase in the next day or so.

i don't even like basketball, but i'd love to have this set. the Jordan card is iconic to say the least. congrats on yer purchase!!!

I have never collected basketball, or even followed the sport, but keep toying with the idea of building this set.

Congrats on the pick up and I look forward to seeing some scans of the highlights.

Congrats on the pickup.

Back when this set was launched, a friend and I each bought a box - it was the only basketball cards either of us every bought. It was crazy to find that box many years later with all the cards still just out of the packs inside the original box.

Congratulations. That is an incredible set to own. As others have said, even those who don't collect or follow this set have the urge to own it. That says something about what an iconic set it is.

psa 7 seems to be the avg grade on this set.....great pick up...im cheap and putting together a PSA 7 set

It's a great set. I bought a raw set on eBay a few years ago ... subbed it and now am working on upgrading to a 9 set and have a second set for the 8s.

Take a look at your 11 multiples. There were 11 cards in each row on a sheet. So the 11th card (I.E. #11, #22, #33, #44 .......) are a bit more difficult and carry a pricing premium over typical commons. I would make sure you get those cards graded, as well as the checklist. It looks like you got a nicely centered set. Congrats, its a great set and the box and extra wax pack wrappers, make it that much more complete.

P.S. IF anyone is building this set RAW and would like some commons (they are O/C, with most grading 9OC), let me know, and I will send them to you. I love this set, and would be pleased to help anyone out that might need it.
