I have been reporting them to Ebay for days and they do nothing, he just keeps buying and selling more.

I messaged the guy that already purchased and left positive feedback for one of those bars too. :/

This is really going to kill the "small guy" at the flea market trying to make a few bucks and also the pawn shops. I can guarantee the bozos running the pawn shops around here in the KC area would not detect those fake ASE's that were on the BST last week. At 24 silver when they offer 12-15 on ASE's maybe they deserve to get stung a few times.
I tell all I know to find a good B&M, get to know the owner and be a steady customer and he will take care of you. Finding a good one is the challenge. I was around in the 80's when silver took off for a few hours and you should have seen the folks come in the shop with the 100 oz bars. If it was not a regular customer, we turned them away as we only had so much cash to buy and we (I worked for the guy part time) even called our regulars to let them know what was happening.
I hope these guys get thrown off EBAY as the bars state 1 OZ 999 silver right on them. The crooks keep getting better.

I think this is the big problem with ebay, they get some flunky to look at the auction and the bar says .999 fine so they automatically believe it so they let the auction go. Not one of them probably takes the 10 seconds necessary to put the name of the mint in a search engine to check out the mint and its products. Also since their report feature does not allow you to tell them what is actually wrong they just keep letting them go just because the bars say .999 silver on them.

The auction the guy bought them from clearly states they are fake but in the end it does not prevent scammers like this guy from turning around and reselling them as real, it should be illegal to make an item .999 fine when it clearly is junk clad.

Place more pressure on eBay by reporting this garbage, if it's listed in the silver bullion category, to: ebay.com/ccw

Thanks, thats the link I was looking for so I could send them a link to the mints web site so they can see these are not real.

The sad part is EBAY is out for the almighty $$$$$$. They will just sit back and state that the fine print somewhere says buyer beware.

The Chinese selling the fake ASE's, now that should be an FBI investigation as that to me would be selling counterfeit's. Like printing fake 100 dollar bills.

Not so....if non silver items are listed in the "silver bullion category," Judith, it may take several days, will Nuke the auction & warn the seller(s). If they are repeat offenders, their selling privileges will be suspended. But the item(s) must be reported. BTW, if the non silver or clad bars are listed in the correct category....bullion-other, clad-plated or Exonumia categories...nothing will happen because per eBay, those are ok categories to list this garbage in.

I must have missed that. Can you give us details? Who was selling them? How did you know they were fake?

Can't remember what day it was but it was within the last week. Someone actually posted the pics of the fakes vs the real ones. The pictures showed some real differences on the draped flag on the front. I will do some digging and try to get you the post.

I reported a bunch of the listings, I also asked him a few questions. I suppose I should add these guys to my block list but I am not planning on selling on the bay any time soon.

If you look closely at reverse of seller's bars you will see that they are marked clad. The violation to report to ebay is "Clad bars (see marking on reverse of bars) are not correctly listed in plated category and seller is not disclosing to buyers that they are plated. Violates ebay listing policy."

Had to buy one with an old ebay account to leave feedback. Check his feedback now. Hopefully his earlier buyers will see it.

Can't wait to see his message requesting payment.

Unfortunately, eBay will remove the neg., if it is issued within 24hrs of the auction close.

looks like one of you other guys gave him postive feedback with negative wording. Hopefully my neg will hang in there a while or that at least ebay will read it.

all of his listings for the clad bars have been removed including the one I purchased and did not pay for.

Hopefully all of his buyers received the ebay message I received:
"This listing was removed by eBay. If you already paid for the item, we recommend that you wait 10 days from the expected delivery date to see if the item arrives. If you did not pay,you are no longer obligated to pay for this item."

Good job Derryb , looks like he'll play the odd's with a poorly described gold bar now but with that feedback i'd estimate he's finished on that particular account.

I have reported many scammers and law-breakers on eBay and they continue to do nothing. Sad but true. One has sold over 250 items. I know, because at the top near the BIN price it says "X remaining, 25X sold."

eBay really sucks. I have been plotting ways to get off eBay for the past two weeks. I have still not figured out a solution.

Nice, my buddies g friend got caught buying clad thinking it was pure silver for his bday last year, not the greatest moment when he opened his gift. The sad part was he had advised her to contact me before buying anything on her own.
