Da Derby...

No horse cards, but managed to pull an OTB ticket...

$5 Exacta Box ($100 total): 8 Goldencents, 17 Will Take Charge, 3 Revolutionary, 9 Overanalyze and 5 Normandy Invasion. Seems I'm on most of Pletcher's ponies (he's got five in the race)...

Would a post card from the Kentucky Derby bring any interest? I just dug one up and maybe the timing is off now that it's over, but still curious. It seems like this is from somewhere around 1965 since this show the winner of the 90th (1964)

Since I wanted some sort "rookie" for horses like secrateriate I picked up the following derby ticket stubs

    78 affirmed
    77 Seattle slew
    73 secrateriate
    48 citation
    37 war admiral

Still looking for something for sea biscuit and man o war.

Also I hate 4 horse for ruining every bet I had today
Scans of most of my Misc rookies can be found <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.collectors.com/m...y&keyword1=Non%20major">here

Tough race for the speed on a muddy track. Goldencents is winning the Preakness or Belmont if conditions are fast. That horse destroyed a really good Santa Anita field and looked like the best horse I've ever seen in person. Orb shot off like a cannon at the 3/4 pole. The jockey will play a big role in his chances in the next two races (can't go like that too soon in the longer races. asking to get caught at the wire).

Oh, we were trying to pick the winner? My mistake, I misunderstood.
