I'm one of those guys who could buy a ticket in a raffle with one other person participating and lose. Years and years of buying raffle tickets at different events but never any luck. However, Sunday night attended the Chris Hammond Youth Foundation auction in Birmingham and bought 2 raffle tickets. The raffle was held the next day and I got a call that I had won an item in the raffle. Got it today and lo and behold...

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

<< <i>Nice Jersey! Too funny I am one who has never won anything significant either and just this past Saturday I was at a fundraiser for my son's baseball team and won the raffle for a "Cooler full of Cheer" which included 10 bottles of wine, 10 bottles of liquor, 4 cases of beer, assorted hats and promotional items and a huge cooler. What makes it funny is that I am not even a drinker but I bought the tickets to support the team. When I was walking up to claim the prize one of the other parents who knew I didn't drink yelled "Hey you don't even drink" and my wife chimed in and said "Yeah but I do". The place erupted in laughter. All together about $700 in booze. I was most excited about the huge cooler. >>
