Finally getting back into the swing of things detecting. Today started with snow and there was about an inch on the ground when I got out. Fortunately, it melted by the end of the hunt. Got back to the field that yielded 20 silvers in one hunt last year. This hunt was to clean up the stuff I missed. Looks like a lot was missed! There are still some signals there, but there are sooo many pull tabs there it was frustrating digging every one. Worth one more shot though.

Felt good to be back to finding silver! Ended with:

5 Mercs: 1942, 1945, 1943, 1945, 1943
2 Wartime Nickels: 1944-P, 1942-P
2 Buffalo Nickels: 1928, 1919?
24 Wheat Cents: 1950, 1954-D, 1944, 1942, 1939, 1935, 1951, 1946, 1946, 1936, 1953, 1944, 1956-D, 1944, 1944, 1952-D, 1951, 1944, 1935, 1944, 1957, 1944, 1955, 1937
Austin Western Power Grader - either watch fob or keychain piece
What Would Jesus Do pendant, possibly pewter
teapot charm - maybe gold plated

One of the 1943 Mercs was lost with a 1962-D Jefferson Nickel

There you go again. Maybe we need to start a pot to see how many silvers you will have at the end of the year? I found 17 cents on Tuesday and you found 60 cents in silver.

17 cents is certainly an off day for you. Usually your hauls school everyone on this forum. Have you been able to get out as much this year as you'd like?

    Thanks Ricko!
