Kind of a push. A bit strong, but if the rest of the deal is good enough, this won't kill you.

Although I generally stay away from 40% Halves, this is not that bad, especially if you are getting a deal on the rest of what is being purchased. I'd pull the trigger.

Its about a $1000 purchase, mostly quarters. Its a friend type deal so its not a great deal, just a little below spot.
    I'll offer $3 for the 40% halfs. $0.32 off on 168 quarters, $20/p for 3 morgans, $9 for 'older' halfs, $1.70 on 9 dimes.

If they do the driving. You know. Not something I could pay for a store or business with. Just a deal.

    I'd leave them.

If it fits your plan, go ahead....or, if you are helping a friend, well, not a loss either. Cheers, RickO

Yup, 15% back of melt and upward trending for Ag is the absolute max one should pay for 40% (IMHO). No one is that eager to buy them especially in a down or flat market.

edit: in reading your response $3 is a much better price....

Hope you didn't miss the dip worrying about the small stuff.

Nope, still buying at various places, and during this dip. Which again makes this a good stacking addition, where I get a better price than the pawn shop.
    Each time a learning experience.

Sounds like a good deal, I would probably do it as well as my quarter stack amounts to 3 quarters...lol.

Update. Due to pick up the 168 quarters today for $4.70 each. Spot price is $5. I can't get that elsewhere so ok for me.
They decided to keep the other coins and likely good I didn't get the half's anyway.
