I've returned all PMs on the set.

I appreciate all the interest. I had no idea the amount of messages I'd be sifting through.

It's good to know it's going to end up in the hands of someone who will appreciate the time it took to put it together.

  • That is one nice looking set. A few of those out of place in 8 holders too
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

Yeah, I really paid a premium for my OCD. I dislike sets with different number grades, and I'm weird with centering. I paid a couple hundred over VCP for the Jordan to get the centering I wanted. I do think the card would still sell for $950 - $1,050 alone if I were to break the set.

Many of the buys were way out of whack (I'm sure bidders thinking they would try the crack and resubmit game) compared to VCP.

The VCP for the set is about $2,000, but I have $2,983 in the set plus another $150 in the case. I know the market won't bear what I have in it so we'll see where it shakes out. I'm really just looking for a fair deal for everyone.

You are right, the centering is great on these.

Rather than go back and forth on price, I've added firm prices to the initial post.

I'm very comfortable with the $2,200. The last 2 sales for PSA 8 sets on ebay were: $2,495 (delivered) & $2,045 (delivered).

In my (biased) opinion, I'd put this set up against either of those sets and be very comfortable with which people might prefer.

I'd much rather sell this to a board member than some random person on eBay, but if I can't find a deal today, I'm putting it on the bay tomorrow night with a $2,500 BIN.
