I'm not trying to blast them and I kind of understand but I am a little eager to at least see that my order is on the way...

28 MAR 13: Date ordered (Thursday, placed on March 28, 2013 10:09:55 AM PDT)
28 MAR 13: Paid via deposit of cash into their account (At the bank within 2 hours of order)
29 MAR 13: Good Friday, assume they are closed.
30 MAR 13: Saturday, closed for weekend.
31 MAR 13: Sunday, closed for the weekend.
1 APR 13: No update on website.
2 APR 13: No update on website. E-mail received saying they received payment (Tue 4/2/2013 4:17 PM) and, "Orders paid by Direct Deposit typically ship within 2 - 4 business days from the day we confirm payment and send this email."
3 APR 13: No update on website, no e-mail telling me it has been shipped (Day 1 of 4 typical days)
4 APR 13: No update on website, no e-mail telling me it has been shipped (Day 2 of 4 typical days)
5 APR 13: No update on website, no e-mail telling me it has been shipped (Day 3 of 4 typical days)
6 APR 13: Saturday, closed for the weekend.
7 APR 13: Sunday, closed for the weekend.
8 APR 13: (Day 4 of 4 typical days) Last day for them to ship/e-mail to keep with their policy.
9 APR 13: Still nothing
10 APR 13: Still nothing, I sent them a message through on line chat... Maria C promptly responded with "Let me take a look at your order.".... After 10 minutes I said, "Hello"... A few minutes later I said, "Maria C, are you still there?".... A few minutes later I called..... Maria answered and promptly put me on hold without allowing me to say anything... Apparently Maria is the only person working today. SMDH, I'm thinking this might be my last order though Goldmart.com She came back to the phone after only five minutes she asked if I paid for the order... I told her yes and that I received the e-mail confirming six days after the fact... She said that she see's that the payment e-mail was sent but the account is still saying unpaid... SMDH. With that, she said she will have to look into it and get back to me within 24 hours. Unbelievable.

Four hours later (About 5PM my time) I sent another message (On line live chat), Maria responded about 10 minutes later and said, "Let me take a look at this order", a few minutes later she said, "Raymond i am requiring some assistance from management." I responded informing her that I have the receipt and don't understand what the issue is. She has yet to respond.

30 minutes later I received a call from Maria, she stated that she had to send my order up higher in the company (She did not elaborate why), she also stated that the package would be shipped today (Though it is already 6PM) and I will receive an e-mail tonight with the tracking number.

11 APR 13: 0952L There has been delivery movement from Reno to Carson City which tells me that the package is in route. A good sign.
27 hours later and the package still has not moved... Still in Carson City. Should be here tomorrow (At least that's what the site says).

12 APR 13: 11:20L, the web site still says:

<< <i>Shipment Accepted, April 10, 2013, 5:47 pm, CARSON CITY, NV 89701 >>

But it also says:

<< <i>Expected Delivery By: April 12, 2013 >>

13 APR 13: The web site had movement this morning, it showed that the package arrived in Nashville last night. Today the US Postal truck delivered the goods. I present, the mini stack that this hub bub was all about.

image

31 oz in totalimage
One roll (25 ea) of 1 oz Maple (My first)
2ea 1 oz. Johnson Matthey Silver Bar (My first)
2ea 1 oz. Golden State Mint Silver Bar (My first)
2ea ASE (2013).

Initial assessment: I had a few questions that were promptly answered via their on line chat. The selection was good and their prices comparable to other sites.

Mid assessment: They lost track of my order somehow and thought I did not pay even though they sent me the "Thank you for your payment" e-mail. Their customer service seems to be one person (Maria) whom is pleasant and has assisted me with figuring out why I have not received my order.

Final assessment: Not packaged well, the box was a USPS box with 4 bands of thread tape (2 in each direction). There were no marks that would identify what was in the container (Thankfully). No padding for the roll, but the roll was taped closed. The loose silver was wrapped in cardboard and there was some packing peanuts in the box but not enough to fill it. Maybe this is the norm, and the package did make it to me with no issues (Other than being slow to deliver) so, what do I know. I will try other venues before I go back to this one but like I said, if the price is better at GoldMart.com, I'll give them another shot.

I'm hoping to have my order by next Friday so I can partake in the Friday Bullion Porn image

My first experience with them few weeks ago was excellent.
I paid with credit card and it took few days to acknowledge the payment. I thought it was going to take few more days to ship but they did ship in one day.

I have placed another order this week and paid via check, received yesterday.
It should take 6 days for them to clear the check.
I will let you know how it goes.

I appreciate the offer, if I do not hear anything this week I will send you a Private Message (PM). Like I said, I kind of understand the situation with the "Holiday Weekend" and their 2-4 days to deliver of which they are still well within their window. I will try to be patient image

    Thanks

Maybe I'm not getting it right, but it seems to me that 4/8/2013 was Day 4.

I ordered from them earlier this year. I had no problems. Took about as long to ship as all of the other distributor websites (a while).

Their trick is to wait four days to acknowledge your payment and then tell you that it will be 2-4 days to send you the next e-mail telling you that they shipped... It can then take 2-8 days to deliver (Depending on how they deliver it).

I understand the process, not happy with it but understand it from a business point of view.

I'm not sure what type of money transfer was made, but if you did a cash deposit into your own bank, that money doesn't go directly into Goldmart's account unless you wired the money directly into their account.

Any deposit takes a day to clear, even cash deposits. If you did something other than a wire transfer, there might have been another day or two required for the money to clear.

They might be guilty of dragging their feet a day or two thus far, but that's not too bad - yet.

I went to their bank and deposited the money into their account on the same day that I ordered (Within 2 hours). It took seven days (Albeit Friday was a holiday and Sat/Sun they are closed) for them to acknowledge that the money was in their account. Four days late they still have not shipped... I'm hoping they have it in the mail tomorrow.

I delivered a check with Bill Pay on Friday and the acknowledged it today.
I will let you know when they ship.

The fastest shipment with a personal check payment has been with Apmex, it took only 3-4 days while with Provident usually takes 7-10 business days.

I have an order in with them for two rolls of SAEs. I placed the order Thursday night, and I sent a check Friday morning. Monday evening I checked their site and it indicated they had received payment. I now expect a seven business day hold before they ship. Thus, even if they use Priority Mail, I don't expect to see the coins until Saturday the 20th.

I sent them a message through on line chat... Maria C promply responded with "Let me take a look at your order.".... After 10 minutes I said, "Hello"... A few minutes later I said, "Maria C, are you still there?".... A few minutes later I called.....

Goldmart.com has you lock in with a credit card then you can pay any way you want. (They refund the cc, I believe they charge like 10% of the sale or something).

This is my first purchase image Wish it was better. I know I will receive the product that I ordered, that's not my concern. My concern is this being my first experience and having a bad impact on my future buying experiences.

I know the world is not perfect, not does it revolve around me. Stuff happens and things are over seen (Usually not on purpose) and I know to not judge something on one situation so I will most likely use them again in the future if their prices are right.

Is it possible that the bank transfer was supposed to be a wire transfer into their account and that the way you did it threw them a curve ball?

Thursday, 4 APR 13, I placed my very first order with them. Put a personal check in the mail that afternoon after the PO closed.
Monday, 8 APR 13, I received a "payment confirmation" email that my check was received and that my purchase would ship 7 days after check was deposited per their T & C's (so, it SHOULD ship on Monday 15 APR 13).

I hope my order isn't like yours. We'll see.
