I'll take a stab at it. The 89 Randy has a shot. The Maddux, no chance with the centering. Both nice cards though.

Maddux might make it if surface is ok, Johnson is a longshot and could be 9 OC. Centering
on 9 needs to be 65-35 and to my eye it looks 70-30 or worse.

Whether you bought them BCCG graded already, or self submitted, you're out that money already. They're both about $20 - $25 in PSA 9, so just cut your losses and just buy them already graded.

I understand that the "better" in the term "mint or better" means a 10 is possible, but trust me, just buy them already graded in PSA 9. If you want better odds on something other than getting a 10 on either of those cards, grab a powerball ticket on the way home.
