Which toner do you prefer?

Which toner do you prefer? The first or second example?

Technical grades? Eye appeal?

Not to be rude, but I don't like either of them, and I dislike them equally. They look like 64s to me; poor luster and weak strike, especially on the one on the left.

I like the color of the second better, but they sure do not look uncirculated. How can they be with a big hole where the date used to be???

Ummmm....I like the full HP OEM toner myself, rather than the generic.

Just trying to get a handle on what folks like or dislike in terms of toning.

The coin on the left is a PCGS MS-64 and the coin on the right is a NGC MS-62 CAC.

That's an awfully late die state if the first coin is MS 64. I like the look of the toning on the left as "crud" is concerned. As to eye appeal, it's the coin on the right.

I prefer the Album or Bullseye type toning, where the tone starts on the rim and works its way toward the center

#2 (by a mile for me)

better color (green/red is much better than yellow), smoother transitions (less chop), and fewer dark blotches/spots

I thought the same thing went I first looked at them. I like the toning on the righthand side the best. It looks like it might be just about evenly split. A poll would have been interesting and I'm too lazy to recap the replies myself!
