I'd say check ebay completed auction listing for rough value.

It may be an OK deal, however, I have always preferred new equipment.... especially when technology has moved so far. Cheers, RickO

I have a White's Spectrum XLT and it still works great. It is an older machine (came out in 1997ish) but for two machine and the throw ins for $500 seems like a really good deal. I may upgrade next year but my son will continue to have a blast with the XLT that he'll inherit if I do upgrade.

I have a Whites XLT and a DFX 300 the XLT is as good as any detector, I mean the stuff I have found over the years. Phew! no kidding they don't make that detector any longer and many lament its passing behind the newer technology. V3i and the one in between. Believe me prior to the V3i the Spectrum was the coin shooters way to go. Regards, mike in nj
