    It is solid gold and the edge is marked

    William Butler Nottingham stage 23 c. 1871, the box is a bit broken but still nice.

    I have tested it on my Electronic Gold tester and it is 22K. They were not stamped with gold content, but it was the common practice for the Gold medals of the era to be of this quality. I purchased this through Heritage Auctions several years ago. I Want to build a garage out back for my Ol 66 Pontiac so the cats can't climb on it anymore..
