I mentioned a couple weeks back I bought a pre-revolutionary war mug from a dealer in the UK.

I'm using it to drink my home brewed beer image

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I mentioned on another forum that the coolest thing about this is that it's...cool.

When you take this room temperature mug and pour a cold beer into it, BAM! It turns ice cold instantly. We're used to glass and plastic glasses. Those are insulators. But silver is a conductor--the best there is. So the whole mug turns ice cold the instant the beer hits it image

I am going to cruise the antique shops (multiple) in my area looking for a sterling silver mug of this age.....must be one out there. Cheers, RickO

It's a popular style of mug that's been used for literally hundreds of years. There are a few similar 18th century pieces on eBay right now:

    300865201077

    310555234485

    310555939234

But there are also many other later examples, and the price drops dramatically as you get closer to the current date.
