JM and Engelhard 10 oz bars make the "A" list for most of us

But since neither is currently being manufactured what would you consider todays better bars? Not in terms on being collectible as some of the older JM and Engelhard bars have become. But just a respectable 999 bar that will not be treated as a Christmas round or Franklin mint product
For my stash I would just purchase these two brands but now find them increasingly difficult to find reasonable. Looking for other respectable alternatives

I like Sunshine Minting, they are neat and shiny!
I also love the RCM bars and the Perth Mint ones are amazing.

The new ones with the anti-counterfeiting feature are really neat. I'm going to have to buy some.

Nothing wrong with Sunshine, NTR, Acadamy, A-Mark, Apmex...as an added benefit these bars are bullion so counterfeiters would be less likely to produce fakes VS. Panda's or old poured JM & Engelhard's.
First look to secure the most favorable price per ounce, but then attempt to rotate through the different manufacturer's at your regular purchasing interval, be it weekly, monthly or some other interval.
I still think price per ounce should be held in greater regard than manufacturer / refiner, as in the end, it's really all about the amount of metal/ounces held. IMO.

And while not 10 oz I had a difficult time selling 100 oz sunshine bars last year
I have been seeing a lot of NTR bars locally. But have yet to purchase one.
I like A-mark, Heraeus bars but do not see them very often. I have yet to see a 10 oz pamp or perth
I disagree with the silver is silver
100 oz of Christmas rounds at 50 back or 100 oz of JM bars at $1.00 over - which is the better deal?
I think my problem is that most of the local guys have caught on to the premiums associated with JM and Engelhard bars
I see some good BST deals but don't always know the sellers, esp if their Post count is low.
<< <i>Sunshine - there are a number of bars over on the BST at $305 delivered yet there they sit. Seems like a reasonable price.

They are quite beautiful, and the price can be reasonable.
If you don't mind buying from reputable international bullion dealers:
SuisseGold.ch is top notch. FedEx/UPS shipping is free on orders over $10k and insured by Lloyds of London up to 50,000 CHF (or currency equivalent) per package.
BullionMoney.com.au is an Austrailian dealer that also has good prices on these Pamp/Perth bars and they indicate international shipping is "inexpensive". I haven't ordered from them yet, but plan to soon to test their service.
<< <i>Scottsdale a reputable source among you more experienced men? >>
absolutely....they've been around for some time and I've never had a problem dealing with them. Their stacker bars are made by Academy, but carry the Scottsdale Lion logo.
Any thoughts on the Ohio Precious Metals 10oz bar? Seems like a reputable refiner and I like the size, shape, finish, and design. If they dropped the recycling logo it would be a killer bar. I saw my first examples in-person this weekend, but unfortunately passed. He was asking $3 over spot but I forgot that this included a sales tax. Doh...
<< <i>I like OPM and the mushroom on the poured bars is a nice touch . . . I don't think all of their poured bars have the recycle symbol on them but I don't mind that either. >>
I think the recycle symbol is cool and I like it. I don't know if it really matters but their bars are marked .9995 rather than the .999 most bars are marked.
