<< <i>We used to make those half dollar rings out at sea when I was in the Navy. Guys would use a spoon and be tapping away whenever we had some free time. Cheers, RickO >>
I've heard of this for years. I'd love to see it done. Anybody have a video?
I'm at work without time to look around.

<< <i>I used to make a lot of these for friends..I just did this for my fathers birthday a month back..He really liked it. >>
I really like those type of rings. I bought a similar 1942 Canadian 50 cent piece turned into a ring the other day. Same style with the design on the inside and out, no break in the rim. Mine was also artificially darkened/toned to help highlight the design with some contrast, looks quite nice IMO!
I figured it was drilling out the center and tapping into shape?
thanks.
ps I made a few more chains using merc's.
<< <i>Yeah, I really want to learn how to do the ring. The linky had a problem. Do you have another address?

After ring is done, dip in "Liver of Sulfer" a few minutes, then buff the high points.....heated Lof S and 2 other ingredients will tone silver dollars :-)
