Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

I have a few cards I am looking to acquire

68 Johnny Bench and Nolan Ryan PSA 8 or 9, Bird/Magic Rookie PSA 8 or 9, 63 Pete Rose PSA 8 or 9, 86 Fleer Jordan, Mullin, Malone, Worthy, Ewing PSA 10.

Thinking about going to the National this year..will all/most of these be readily available at the National and for prices less/greater than EBAY. Having a tough time with spending over 1k on a card that I cannot visually inspect and see who I am buying from.

Thanks for any feedback.

You're a newbie here, so it's fine that you didn't know this. But want posts and sale list posts are for the Buy/Sell forum. Good luck with your search. Those are some heavy cards you're after.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

  • Apologies but was not looking to the board to buy from, more the less just looking for advice whether the selection at the national and prices would be better versus trying to buy something and dealing with the risks off EBAY.

I can tell you from experience you will be able to find all of those cards at the National this year, however prices are generally higher than what you can buy it on Ebay or directly here on the BST board. The National is a blast to go to and you will not believe the great guys that you can meet there. Good luck on your hunt.

I have those cards in the higher grades stipulated. I'd be willing to discuss a group deal to help finance the chase of a personal pre-war whale card. If truly interested, PM me.

If you haven't done so already, I'd consider getting a vcp account, if even for a day, to get an idea of historical prices and view some of the cards associated with those sales.

I second Shane regarding pricing at the National. Lots of awesome stuff last year in Baltimore but most dealers acted like it was plutonium.

Good idea to physically inspect high dollar cards in person though so if you're willing to spend premium $$, the National may be the way to go.

  • Pricing at the National will be similar to ebay BINs. If you're looking for ebay auction prices, stay home and bid on ebay.

Are those your ebay bin prices or others? Levi
