my last non-trivial NEWP for the forseeable future (3cs for type)

with the house on the horizon, I took one last hurrah with my tax refund...
I've always wanted a very nice one of these for type and since I could never pry a certain board members AU58 from him... I kept my eyes peeled, and was rewarded!
...in hand the coin looks seriously awesome, the toning is perfectly wonderful. (sorry for the smudgie reverse)

g-g-g-g-guess the grade? pcgs slabbed.

I'd say that it is an AU-58 like the piece he wanted to buy from the forum member.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    PCGS MS63....

My million candlepower halogens didn't do the images a favor, in hand that's imperceptible, but I dont really care, these are tough to find as attractive as this is (to me anyways)....

Not to mention the images take a fingernail sized coin and turn it into a basketball.

    Nice 3CS!
