Another purchase where they came in twos, already had a nice 1918, but this one wanted to join in. I just had to jump on that 23-S, never see these above Fine.

Nice coins ! This is one series I cannot grade well. An xf and a vg look almost the same to me.

Now the trick will be to find a 23S in the same or better grade and look than that 18P

Back 20+ years ago, while searching for an AU 23S, I used to come across cleaned XF's fairly regularly, that were being offered as AU coins.
Now I don't even see these around anymore!
