Sorry, no picture. Not that kind of post, but Guess the Grade. - "Clearly readable but lightly worn legends, devices show good detail, rims are clean, but the whole coin shows moderate wear on the high points and a little wear below. "

Obviously you are trying to match the verbiage of grades by a TPG. Verbiage is see matches perhaps an AU grade.

Too bad fewer didn't want to "give this a try". It's not a trick question, the description is quoted from Sheldon. It describes a certain numerical grade. Go on, give it a try. (no one is even close yet) ps googling the answer is easy but try and think it out

Sounds like VF to me... if the description starting talking about luster being there, then it would be XF

This description is extremely vague and is subject to interpretation.

Moderate wear is VF. Based on the other adjectives and choice of descriptive words, it sounds like VF to me.. Based on moderate wear on high points and a little wear below, sounds like choice VF so I will say VF35

I thought "VF" at first. Somewhere between 20 and 30.

Of course, the description of wear throughout the devices sounds like what NGC refers to a "MS62."

It's not an exact science. I would have paid xf money and probably been pissed off when the coin arrived.
