Todays Garage Sale Haul

A local Neighborhood has a yearly garage sale day, so there are 40 or so sales in a few blocks. It makes for an easy and fun treasure hunting day.

Not all sports related, but here are the goods:

Really nice framed and matted Joe Montana autographed 16x20. Has Montana's hologram on the photo. Total frame is about 24 x 36. The matting is very high end with some sort of red velvet and gold trim. Cost was $45

Framed artist proof of a print that was issued when the Jacksonville Jaguars were awarded the franchise. Its signed not only by the artist, but also Tom Coughlin and the Jacksonville dignitaries who helped bring the team including the owner, team president, mayor and other big wigs. The seller said it cost her ex husband over $100 to frame it. I paid $10

Same seller as the Jags frame, this is supposed to be an 8x10 signed by Bill Clinton. It doesnt match any i have seen online, however the inscription really does so Im not so sure. Ill be showing it to JSA at the next area show. She said it was signed at an even the ex husband attended as he was a political economist. For $1 it was worth the chance

DC Direct Joker statue. The last 2 on ebay have sold for $115 and $120, so paying $40 I wont get hurt

This is an actual drawing sold at the Disney store of the villian from Mulan. Has the disney seal and imprint, although I cant find information about the artist online using a quck search. I havent found much info on the series other than 2 of them on ebay. Ill have to do some more research. Again I shouldnt get hurt for $10

Not pictured was a Josh Johnson stadium giveaway bobble head in the box I got for .50, as well as some sort of ceramic inchworm also for .50 (i thought it might be something, i now think i was wrong), a few in package toys for my son and a box of ribbons and craft cloth for my wife.

Overall very pleased. Thanks for letting me share!

I would be interested in purchasing the Jax Jaguars print if you are interested in selling. Believe it or not I am a Jaguars fan! Rare I know...

They were from 2 sales. The funny thing is the Joker and Disney drawing were from one house and we left. My son got some things he loved and after 2 hours of hitting sales he asked could we please go back to that one just to see. When we went back they had out the Montana. Very lucky!

Your son just might be a future picker. After seeing this I'll have to stop sleeping in on Saturdays and get back to the hunt.

  • Totally unrelated to any of the garage sale finds, I like your baseball set-up in the background of that Disney photo. Are those bookshelves or actual units connected to the wall? That looks amazing. Post a pic of that sometime if you ever have a chance.

  • I would really love to start going to garage and estate sales here in AZ. I live in/next to SunCity which is a huge retirement seniors city and heard you can geat great finds there. My problem is I have a hard time finding them. I don't get the newspaper and it seems I can't find a good website. Anyone have any tips?
