I'm sorry to hear that. That really sucks.
And the talking heads keep saying the economy is doing better
Had you been at the place for a long time? Is it sector related or specific to the place you worked at?
I hope that you are able to find something even better quickly.
Keep up your spirits, we'll all keep you in our thoughts and, even if you don't think you need to, try to downshift on your expenditures just in case its protracted.

Trying to buy old pour 5 oz Engelhards and paying top dollar, but sellers have a death grip on them. Those who have offered want even more than top dollar lol.
They refer to eBay, then I say, and then the fees are what...my buy price is right at what they'd get after all fees.
Oh well, can't teach common sense I guess. You either have it or you don't.

I wouldn't say it's a lack of common sense, just a disillusioned value on what they are holding. I go through the same song and dance weekly with people trying to convince me that their well-worn 1940s-1960s dimes and quarters are worth more than melt "cause they're so old!". My wholesale price is actually a bit higher than what they'll get on ebay after fees selling in small lots. So lately I just tell them: here's the ebay fee calculator, go sell some lots on ebay and see how much you net and how much of your time it takes. Then call me back.

Sellers pics of my newest Engelhard for the type set. It is the first of its type I have seen with the FPM star stamp.

The FPM apparently stands for Federated Precious Metals. There are two schools of thought of how the stamp was added. Either the star and letters were added by arrangement with Engelhard or only later by FPM itself.

I like the dark gray toning.

Awesome metal guys. I'm hoping a little sumfin I just purchased will be here in time for next weeks porn thread.

Keep your chin up tneig. Jan & Feb are typically slow months in just about any sector. Save your metals as much as you can too, you've been piling up some good stuff buddy. image
