Guys, I got the pricing back from Steve for the missing boxes. I also added the 91 Topps DS box. Steve is going to label the packs as "DS" packs as well like he would a regular box.
I would like to reiterate my feelings that we should do the 1976 cello's one pack per person. There is absolutely no reason not to. Several members asked for it and I have yet to hear a reason why we are not besides "its the right thing to do." Obviously the right thing to do would be to do it one per person.
Also, I would like to know if we are doing a lottery for the empty boxes.
For what it is worth, I believe the guy that spends all his time setting up the rip should be able to pick out some of the empty boxes for his collection before any kind of lottery is conducted on the empty boxes.
Not that anyone asked my opinion, but I think it is the least the guy who sets up the rip should receive for all his hard work.

I agree. Mark does an outstanding job coordinating these group rips. As I've stated before, it is not an easy job and I think the 2 pack per person rule which has been standard for years now (before that there was NO limit if any old timers can recall) works just fine.

Could someone please clarify one thing for me.............
The '76 box........it's what?? Opened?? It can't be sealed or we wouldn't know the packs have stars on top. Is it pieced together from many packs and various boxes?? Did BBCE buy 24 individual packs and call it a full box?? And if it is from separate boxes, can I assume the quality of one unopened pack my not be any indication of the quality of the next pack??
I'm not sure this necessarily distracts from me wanting a pack or not, but it sure seems less appealing than the idea of opening a full, sealed box.
Again, not trying to be the fly in the ointment, just wanting to clarify what it is. Heck, I'm not sure why I buy these packs anyway...as this bad cell phone pic shows, I never do anything but look at them anyway.

Shawn,
This is a pieced together box that Steve bought from a person in Cincinnati. I am not sure you can assume the quality of packs from an untouched box will give you an indication either FWIW. I hope this helps answer your question.

That would explain all the Reds packs. I'm not sure this lessens the appeal for me (after all I'm a Reds fan), but it does lessen the overall value of the packs I would think.
Thanks for the answer Mark, and as always, thanks for taking the time to set this up.

Also, I would like to know if we are doing a lottery for the empty boxes.
Not that anyone asked my opinion, but I think it is the least the guy who sets up the rip should receive for all his hard work.
Unopened Boxes, Packs, Cards, and Tickets
Just send me a PM or email me for discount off eBay pricing. Thanks
<< <i>For what it is worth, I believe the guy that spends all his time setting up the rip should be able to pick out some of the empty boxes for his collection before any kind of lottery is conducted on the empty boxes.

I agree. Mark does an outstanding job coordinating these group rips. As I've stated before, it is not an easy job and I think the 2 pack per person rule which has been standard for years now (before that there was NO limit if any old timers can recall) works just fine.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
