It was part of a mid-grade partial set that I was going to sell, and it almost looked too good to be true but it measured up and I sent it in for grading
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
That picture of Didier Drogba always makes me smile. The only better one is the Frank Lampard one where he'd holding the Cup, being doused in champagne and laughing. GO CFC.
Gameusedhoop: It truly is a mid-grade partial set, haha. It was missing the Mays, #1 Ted Williams, and the Hank Aaron RC. It did have the Ernie Banks and Kaline which graded PSA 5s. Just got lucky that the Moon was as amazing as it really is.
VitoCo: Thanks for the comment. I try to tell people all the time that the Chelsea run in the Champions League last year was one of the most incredible stories in the history of sport for the fact that they overcame the odds on SO many occasions. Glad you were able to appreciate it as well!

Oh, I'm a huge Blues supporter. And beating Barcelona with 10 men was the best thing I've ever seen in football. I still can't figure out how Ramires scored (or how John Terry could be so stupid). The Drogba goal in Munich was great but much like the Miracle on Ice, the Semi-Final was the main attraction. And thank god Terry wasn't there to blow it (AGAIN!)

That is awesome. I have graded out two high grade complete sets from this year in the past four months and I have yet to hit a PSA 9. The card truly deserves a high grade. Nice job. Still needing around 40 or so to complete in PSA 8's if you can help.

Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
1954: Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I have nothing that can help you. The only other card that was grade worthy was this:
I know that it is diamond cut semi-severely, but I thought the centering might be good enough to squeek an 8. The corners are razor sharp on the Hodges as well. Literally mint!
Swartz1: This is one of the nicest vintage cards I have ever seen. The chipping on the back top left corner and some very slight edge chipping on the back probably held it from being a miracle grade for the issue

Where did you find that gem??
