Funny Craigslist exchange going on

Someone selling eagles for $50 on Craigs and getting flack from folks I guess. He says its america and can sell for what he wants.
So of course there are inflammatory counter posts.

Granted, that is crazy, but few ASEs are posted and it does make a high comparison if you wanted to sell right now for $40, eh...

At that price I doubt he is selling very many ASE's or any at all.

Craigslist is full of ads for people wanting 10$ over spot for ASE's but if you live in a well populated area you can post a want to buy ASE's add and offer spot for them and get a lot of emails.

I've done it in the past and you get responses from people who wanted to sell at B & M's and got offered 5$ back of spot and refused to take it .

Coin shops like to sell at 3 or 5$ each over spot but find 10 different reasons to lowball you when you try to sell to them. When you are selling suddenly your ASE's become generic rounds every milk spot and scuff mark gets pointed out as though its a proof . image

Premeiums are fine as long as the go in both directions and don't just widen the spread against you

gotta overcharge for the one's that do sell to make up for the one's taken at gunpoint when you meet with the buyer.

Shop across town is selling ASE for 34.99 each and selling quite a few. They are right off base and suck in military buyers.

don't ask them what they buy them at: Try 16.00 each (and people sell em to them)

A local relatively small weekend flea market has a steady coin vendor. He has more silver then he ever has!
Trays full of maples, eagles and buffalos, all new.
Maples for $31.25 and ASE's for a bit more (which is still high for me since I just got a dozen via a past order for $28 a piece.

(Craigs has stayed relatively flat around here for ASEs and such, ever since the price was high.)

The sell price for ASE's continues to remain relatively high.....dealers have a larger investment to regain. They try to balance that with buying them cheap through private venues....Cheers, RickO

I saw an ad on CL for a 1 oz buffalo round - asking $45 FIRM. The dude's had the ad up for at least 3 months now and he has not dropped his price. I'm so tired of having to sift through all the spam.

Also, there was someone recently offering 10 oz no-name bars for $500. He was trying to sell them by arguing that silver will hit $100/oz in the next few years and people who buy from his can double their money. (and he could quadruple his by buying back at $25 now) : )

I was tempted by someone offering a large quantity of silver rounds and bars for $1.25 over, but no premium brands. I'll just wait for better deals to come by like the one I got a few months ago. Someone sold me 12 oz at $25 when spot was 30. That was his asking price and I gladly paid it.
