Has Abe lost beard detail on 2012 cent?

After the 2010 rework more to the classic Brenner bust, it seems to me that this detail found on 2010 to now has Abe losing beard detail. Are we seeing a second coming of the weakening of the design which caused such obverses as a 1954 or a 1968?

Looking at a 2010 Proof cent, I don't see much of a beard on that piece; it looks more like a "far jaw." The hubs may have lost some detail, but by in large, I can't see where there was much of beard there in the first place.

The beard didn't look that bushy even on the early Lincoln cents. Here is a 1909 VDB.

Here is Brenner's original bust on the 1909 "Lone Eagle" medal. This piece matches the Lincoln cent artwork most closely than the plaque.

That particular 2012 cent does not show much detail in the beard. I have seen recent years that showed lots of detail going down the neck but it looked sort of cartoonish. I know exactly what you mean about the 68's, sometimes I think I could pick them out without seeing the date. But then in 69 they had better detail again.

Is there a comprehensive date list somewhere for reworkings of moderns? Like the spaghetti hair Washington? I think they were going back to the older design? I also noticed a recent Roosevelt that looked like they had messed with the hair.
