What are considered the "must have" Jeter cards?

I am familiar with the top rookies, his SP, Bowman, UD but what are some of the other essential Jeter cards?

I would think the "error" card with him, Bush and Mantle on it would be one.

Lower serial-numbered, lower print-run and rarer items from 1993-1996 are always good.

If you have an extra $25,000 sitting around, the PSA 10 1993 SP Jeter has some potential

  • Instead of the SP or Bowman rc's, I decided to go after these early on card autographs.

Since when did PSA 10 1993 SP JETER start selling for $25,000? The pop has increased over the years (about 3+ more). I remember about two years ago one sold for under $9,500. Another one sold for under $7000 a few years ago from a major auction house.

-1997 Topps ROY signed card which still can be had for under 150 bucks

Do you have the auction link on the $37,000 sale? Thanks

No I do not. It may have been a private transaction.

I highly doubt Joe would publish that sale unless he felt confident it took place.

With Derek Jeter you have the perfect storm. A tremendous baseball player, a New York Yankee, and a super condition sensitive card.

Anyone have a 1996 Score Sample Dugout Collection card. Those are tough. The regular is not as bad, but PSA 10's sell well. At one point I had a few of the regular in a PSA 10, but sold them. Wish I had not as they are tougher to find, but the dugout collection almost never comes up. This one sold recently for a steal in my opinion. Cannot believe I missed it.

    The "Rookie Years" Refractors.

Personally, there's 100 guys I would rather collect.
  • I always liked the Stadium Club Murphy set rookie
  • Also the 93 Micro is a very tough card in PSA 10 POP of 12

This card is vastly under-appreciated and undervalued. Many people who don't like the foil look of the SP buy this card as the "premium" Jeter RC.

that card has really shot up in value over the last few years. I can remember it being $80 in psa 10 condition

I just bought a bunch of those stadium club sealed sets. They have heavy gloss and a few that I opened were stuck together like a brick. I subbed 7 cards and kept 3 sealed. I will see how they grade before I open the rest.

I think my Jeter RC is pretty rare. It's the '92 Little Sun, but on an uncut sheet.
