Like my Willie? 1954 Topps Alert

Beautiful color, gloss and centering. I think it's a beautiful EX-MT+.

Looks nicer than Ex-Mt+. Is there a technical problem preventing it from grading higher?

    Ralph,
It has very modest corner wear. As far as eye appeal...it is an easy NM. A PSA 7 will not surprise me if it gets it. My favorite part was the strong color and print quality.

I once purchased a raw 1954 Topps Willie Mays card off of Ebay in comparable condition for $450.00. I was surprised when the seller sent me the card loose with absolutely NO protection in a 9" x 9" box packed in only peanuts.

Surprisingly the card ended up grading a Psa 8.

Very nice card Mickey - looks like a 7 to me.

I assume you took it out of that holder before you bought it?

Very sharp card. I am not the greatest at judging grades, especially over the computer. 54 Topps is such a nice looking set. I only wish there were borders on the top.
