The basketball on the back of jordan 86 fleer with psa 2 pics

I read about spotting these fakes by the basketball on the back. Does anyone have a zoomed pic of them to compare? Im looking to upgrade my psa 2 Jordan but do not know what the ball should look like under a loupe, in case i come across a raw one. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

On the real cards, inside the ball should be the word NBA with underneath that the word 'players'. On the real cards, under magnifaction, you will be able to see the word 'players' very clearly. On the fakes, it will just be a blob. You might be make out certain letters of what they were trying to say, but you will not be able to see the word 'players'.

The 'R' for registered is also another good thing to look for...

This is a GREAT reference book that should be in every collector's collection....

And what is the decimal point you are referring to? Sorry. I'm a novice so far since coming back into the hobby.

Here is a link that I found helpful.

    LINK

The period I found on the following link.
It is on stats where you find 27.2 average pts per game.

  • Great information, thank you very much, I've bookmarked those. I will use that in the future.

The easiest way to spot a fake Jordan is by the decimal point in 27.2 under AVG in the stats.

if it is missing = FAKE

Go easy on me, my first Jordan rookie. I'm usually a currency collector, wanted this card, but didn't want to spend a fortune on a high grade one.....yet. Here it is. The second pic shows why it's a 2
