If I lived in the area I would, but I'm in STL and our boeing employee coin/stamp club is thin.

Different environment, different type of venue. In Rosemont you could always park at the McDonalds or shopping center down the street fr free.

Normally this is a show I go to but I'm planning on going to another show somewhere else so I won't be there this time.

    So who's going?

I'll be there Saturday; I have way too much money piling up.....need spend some $$$ on old, toned metal disks.

You know that pain you get when you haven't bought anything lately? I'm there!

    Hey Wei:

Does the Tucson show provide more opportunities to buy nice coins?
  • Haven't been to a Boeing show for a few years... This is the year. Will be there Saturday.

Normally I go to both shows, typically Tucson on Thursday then Boeing on Saturday. I marginally prefer being in WA over Tucson but at both shows I've found a few scores but I've also experienced a complete bust at both. This year I'll be going to the Hot Springs, AR show. I've never been there before and I've wanted to give this show a try for several years. We'll see how it goes then plan accordingly for future shows.

Thanks for your reply. I've never been to Tucson since that show conflicted with Boeing, but I've always wondered . . . .

I would love to attend Saturday.
That was my plan but there's been a family emergency and weekend plans are currently up in the air.

This has always been a fun show for me.

Speaking of Boeing, to date I've flown on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner two times. Considering everything wrong that's been happening recently I keep thinking my fellow passengers and myself were lucky to survive those flights unscathed.

Japan Airlines grounded the entire fleet. I sure would not want to fly one of them.

So did ANA. It was an ANA aircraft that had the emergency landing in Takamatsu. United isn't publicly saying anything but they have temporarily withdrawn their 6 Dreamliners from scheduled service. Qatar Airways will probably do the same as soon as tomorrow. It is unfortunate because as soon as I completed my first flight I became a fan of that aircraft.

ANA just launched new Dreamliner service last Friday from San Jose, CA to Narita to lots of fanfare but because of the suspension all flights until at least January 21 have been cancelled.

Those of us who can't make it could use a good report or two.

Thanks for the fine report and photos. Cool coin!
I'm looking forward to the Spring show as I couldn't attend this one.
