    Yeah yeah.

Gainsville - out of Silver Eagles.
Tulving - out of 90% Silver
    APMEX - under 3000 ASE's.

Rumors are flying. Some guy is claiming Apple can't make the new iMacs because they can't get enough silver.

If there's really a shortage the only solution is much higher prices.

What's so special about a 2006 Sealed FS eligible Monster Box that would call for such a premium?

    That's a good question, OPA.

aren't all sealed monster boxes eligible for FS?

On second thought, the only way this box could be FS eligible would be if it had a mint shipping lable on it with a ship date within FS requirements. I have never seen a mint shipping lable on a monster box. APMEX may be assuming that it's dated receipt, with the "sharpie" number on the box will make it FS eligible. They could write any number on any box to match a receipt and surely PCGS knows this.

I don't know if this would be considered a real shortage, just a bit of a lag.
Get the felling people are holding onto their private stash more (unless the price is good of course)

I think the FS monster box is priced that way because someone will pay for it. I mean what would you
do with it, ship it off to have them all slabbed and sell individually?

There are FS Requirements? Are the vague for definitive?

You need to be one of the 2 guys in the beginning of this video to pay extra for first strikes.

hint its not leslie its the other guy

eagles are out there , someone as we speak has 10,000 of them listed on bullion direct at 33.75 each. The buy sell spread is nearly 1$ which is pretty odd for nucleo, if you jump into the middle you might get lucky at 33.25

That apmex monster for 10k premium is absolutely ridiculous. Are they paying say, $1500, for a roll of 2000 eagles? 'Cause I got a roll of those I'd let go for that if we're setting precedent there.

I expect the spread to increase the less supply there is, but that's nuts. I hear ya, ask them what their BUY prices are if they're going to charge that much.
Reminds me of a 4 oz Engelhard going for $3200+ not long ago...what gives?

Yep, I just saw the same thing when I was checking on my order for a couple tubes of 2013 ASEs. I placed the order on 12/22 and sent payment the next day. The status has been "payment confirmed" for well over a week now.

Initially, both websites published "shipping week of Jan. 7." Reason I went ahead and bought 2012 boxes from DBS.

Let's see if it gets pushed back again.

Jan 7th was the shipping date for the US mint to start shipments to the Auth buyers.
