Just curious to see if there are any good stories out there. Most time you have spent in there in one day?...anything?

One time I dropped a $40K coin on a concrete floor during viewing. It was slabbed, no apparent harm done......and no, I did not pull a "switcheroo" while the coin was out of sight......

No, but today. I had a dealer friend look at a pretty expensive coin for me today before possible bidding , and he mentioned on the phone that before he got there, the auction catalog photo looked pretty enticing, but the coin down right sucked!!!!! I had a hunch it wasn't that nice from a prior view of the coin some years ago. Not mentioning the specific coin as it has not sold yet,

To keep more in line with the specific topic, I remember wanting to view the two brasher d's several years back , Had the auction rep go an retrieve them from the high dollar cart/box, and him along with an armed guard and another rep stand over me(I mean literally right on top of me) while I viewed them one in each hand.

Not exactly lot viewing, but I called a prominent auction house and asked for a consult on an MS 63 BN Draped Bust Large Cent. His description was thus..

"It's a late die state. The coin is dark, but has an even tone on both obverse and reverse. There's a contact mark on her neck, but it's not bad....What's this....this coin is a piece of ****. You don't want it."
    "Vou invadir o Nordeste,
    "Seu cabra da peste,
    "Sou Mangueira......."
