American Campaign Medal (World War II)

I don't collect medals but I have a few.

American Campaign Medal

The medal had two designers, one for each side.
The obverse has a Navy cruiser, a bomber, and a submarine, and was designed by Thomas Hudson Jones who worked for the US Army.
The reverse has an eagle and was designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman, who designed the Walking Liberty half dollar and the Mercury dime.

    There was a reproduction of a World War II campaign medal included in the "youth set" of the World War II commemorative half dollar. I kept the set because I found the historical notes on those pieces interesting.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
