1987 Hostess WWF

Collected these as a kid, thought it would be interesting to get a few graded. I believe these were only issued in Canada

Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable
  • I sent in three from a set. Hulk Hogan got a nine. I really wasn't sure what the grades would come back as but I did try to send it what I thought were the best three of what I had. A lot of them looked to have white around the edges and none of them had been removed from original cello until I sent them in.

I was reading something about a poster that accompanied this set or is that for the 1988 set?

Uh Oh ... looks like Rob and Dave are getting more and more wrestling fans to join in each week!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

They are really cool. I have some 1988 PSA's on ebay(wink wink). I thought they should have all graded 10's but who knows what PSA saw. I think the edges are raised up a little so maybe that was it? I have to check if I have the 1987 set. They are cool in their own little cello packs. I have 1987 PSA 10's of Tito Santana, King Kong Bundy and a 1988 PSA 10 of Elizabeth. They look great in the holders and I also like the baseball Hostess stickers from the same years.

This was my wheelhouse in 1987! Hostess had a few inserts in this period that every kid collected. The WWF stickers, the rock band stickers, and then the baseball stickers, which were my favorite. I remember you could see the stickers through the hickory sticks packaging, but even so I couldn't bring myself to buy them because I hated the taste of them. Ketchup chips were the only way to go.

I remember needing REO Speedwagon for the longest time, and then needing Tony Gwynn forever.

    Nice to see these again...
