Portugal, South Africa, and Ireland

It's been a very slow 3 months for me coin-wise. However I managed pick up a couple of cheap slabs off of eBay last week and found some nicely toned big silver coins today while at my favourite coin shop. I believe the Portuguese coins are the first ones I've got from that country.

Cuchulain, and the raven! Always liked that convex design.

For a good read grab a copy of Red Branch by Morgan Llywelyn. It covers the Irish myth of Cuchulain, if indeed he was. image
