When you look at the progressive amount of silver coins they've been minting/selling over the years, it shows a tremendous increase in the last several years.
They are pretty smart. Sell citizens the silver, making profit from the venture. Get rid of the old silver. Boost the silver industry with more demand, then it had before. Then take capitol gains. Then plan to work in some transaction taxes or fees..
I'm wondering how much this has affected the total silver market itself. Now thats market manipulation....We may be setting the demand and price more than the industrial use and other factors in total. The game is interesting.
------also----- "United States Mint American Eagle Platinum Bullion Coins, which are not mandated by public law, have not been produced or offered for sale since 2008. " Wonder why they stopped minting. Read some interesting stuff on Platinum demand lately, and its status as a PM/Monetary item..
